If we are deliberately talking about trainer development at the DFB, this conceptuality is illustrating a content-related paradigm shift. The focus is an individual and continuous process. It’s not about simply crossing a template with the training content, so to convey a certain package of knowledge, which is then demonstrated once the day X in the form of a final exam – and that’s it.

From the C-license then begins the actual blended learning. Behind the term hides the approach, presence phases and the application in the home club to interlock that the benefits of the respective learning environment are introduced. We pursue a methodological four-sounding. Sound one: determine the own level of knowledge to record the status quo. At the beginning there is therefore an analysis phase to give our speakers the knowledge: Where are the participants, where must or can you pick them up? So can be entered in the presence phases directly on a suitable level. This is followed by the second step: offering new knowledge in the form of reference models. Phase three consists of the application. Specifically: the transfer of the new knowledge in can, ie the implementation in practice. For example, the participants test a new training methodology in one unit in their own club. This is followed by the fourth sound: the reflection, which in turn consists of two parts. Self- and foreign reflection.

The students can therefore be filmed, for example, when carrying out a training session with their crew, upload the video into the online campus and receive immediate feedback in the video on the integrated comment function. Usually from our trainer, depending on the occasion or topic but also from other students. About this social video learning we take advantage of the Schwarziptelligenz. At the same time, this forms the beginning of a discourse, which is ideally taken from the online area with in the next stepping phase and uses its strengths: the direct dispute, the immediate exchange.

To see himself in the video, to perceive their own voice and body language almost from the outside, most of them will cost overcoming. This is completely normal. But you notice quickly: It is by far the most effective way to throw an objective look at yourself. This usually triggers intensive processes with which their own behaviors leave. According to this self-reflection process, foreign reflection is added by our trainers, speakers or other students. In the true sense of the bowel, you get exactly in mind how and why self-effort and foreign perception may differ. Then personal patterns can be optimized accordingly to achieve the effect that you actually want to achieve.

The effect is demonstrable in the course of the course, but leads far beyond. During the course, several intermediate lines are continuously provided instead of a classic final exam. The final capacity then consists of a presentation and a conversation, in which it goes about development topics and goals, for own and foreign perception. This results in a more meaningful overall picture than a purely punctual final exam, which can be imposed on a single bad day or whose content is once memorized and retrieved, but then can be forgotten again. We do not want to give this a decisive day, but the coaches give the opportunity to document their own development path as as a success story. Notes are no longer available, but the confirmation: passed or failed.

The principle of reflection takes on all stages of our trainer development stairs. On the basic levels C and B license as well as the later specialized courses: ie the licenses B + and A + for the performance-oriented youth area or A and PRO license for the (SEM) professional adult area. These individual paths have turned out to be meaningfully because the practice has proven: it provides various requirements for coach, depending on whether trainers deal with adolescents or adults. Accordingly, a differentiated profiling takes these two points into account. Nevertheless, there is no rigid setting: If you have opted for one of the two ways, the other remains open. Finally, development always means flexibility. Therefore, we have also built the A + license as a conviction course that includes the A license. The change in the adult area for the PRO license is thus possible. Career paths such as Thomas Tuchel and many others who were initially top-wide trainer and then top professional trainers were to remain possible in the future.

From 2023 , with the complete conversion of our trainer training, we can offer all the trainers a suitable offer for their requirements in the club. Whether county league, national league or Bundesliga, Bambini or adults. In addition, a broad continuing education offer will give the license holders the opportunity to specialize in their area.
