Critical success, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is also a commercial success given that it has more than 10 million copies sold worldwide. Suddenly, confirmation of a suite has surprised anyone, but no official announcement has yet taken place. In the meantime, rumors concerning Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 continue to flock, the latest emanating from Jeff Grubb, Venturebeat journalist. Indeed, as part of his program Grubbsnax, he says that the game should turn his back on the PS4 and the Xbox One. “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will be a game exclusively Next-Gen, that is to say that it will only be released on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Ps5, and obviously PC“, loose-t -he. Before adding: “_The reasons justifying this decision is that the game should not be released before 2023. It is even a certainty. Well for the ambition to market Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 in 2022, but the publisher and the Respawn Entertainment teams would finally have realized that this would not be possible. Jeff Grubb also believes that next year, the shortage of electronic components should be less, and that therefore, the PS5 and Xbox Series installed park should be more important compared to today. Anyway, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will be mentioned a priori during the Star Wars Celebration (May 26-29 in Los Angeles).
For the record, Respawn Entertainment has two other Stars Wars games on fire, namely an FPS (notably with the presence of Peter Hirschmann who participated in the genesis of the Medal of Honor series) and a strategy game. And recently, we learned that Amy Hennig, known to be the screenwriter of the first three Uncharted, was also in charge of a Star Wars project with the Skydance New Media studio. Also, let’s not forget Quantic Dream who takes care of Star Wars Eclipse, or the development game at Massive Entertainment (Ubisoft). In short, the program promises to be generous.
